Within the regional policy of “mid-sized cities”, the municipality launches a programmatic study on two sites. The first one in the heart of the city center, understanding the marketplace, the square of the church, the main place and the place of the city hall. The second in a district of popular housing environment which degrades, marked by a central square, the square of the Pheasantries.
The attention concerns to the notions of housing environment (possibility of realization of social housing in city center) and of urban plannings, circulations and the valuation of the public place (reflection on the creation of a lighting program, of semi-pedestrian zones, bicycle paths and landscaped spaces and leisure activities). Scenarios will integrate the constraints of safety, maintenance, environmental performance and landscaped insertion attached to the identified sites.
